Emergency Architects is an association established in April 2001 in the wake of the flooding of the Somme and the Oise in France. Its mission is to offer advice and assistance to populations confronting natural, industrial technological or human disaster and, more generally, to help to any person in a state of physical or moral distress in France and around the globe.

Emergency Architects also participates in the reflection period following catastrophes and can, by virtue of its interest in cultural heritage, intervene through heritage safeguarding missions. Emergency Architects teams bring with them the experiences of their profession used in the service of populations at risk. Their commitment is as individuals, with full respect for the charter to which all adherents, both volunteers and employees, subscribe.
With the support of the Quebec Association of Architects, the organisation’s establishment on Quebec’s soil is with the ambition of increasing the sphere of action and the possibilities of further development.
